A scarecrow,an Egyption Mummy and James Bond. What do they have in common?
They all came for the Toastmasters meeting on 28.10.2008. I kid you not.
With such interesting characters, the meeting proved to be very lively. The role players that evening: -
(1) SAA: Gerald Lim (who came dressed as a photographer >.<)
(2) TOE: Madinah (she gamely stood in for her other half Fauzi who was originally to be the TOE but was detained by work)
(3) Grammarian: Lim Hui Sing
(4) Timer: Angeline Tiong (dressed as a spook)
(5) Table Topics Master: Rebecca Chieng (Arabian Princess)
(6) TT Evaluator: Chan Siew Yan (Scarecrow)
(7) General Evaluator: Poh Khee Yiong
(8) Record Master: Andrew Law (Jungle man)
There were 3 speakers: -
(1) Lim Wui Ling (CC1) - Ice breaker : Evaluator - Diong Lee Jiun
(2) Tan Hong Mui (ACS8) - Vegetarian Diet - The solution to World hunger and environmental problem : Evaluator - Henrick Lau (James Bond)
(3) Noel Pang (ACB5) - Lodge Rugby Proposal : Evaluator - Victor Foong (Egyptian Mummy)
8 characters then gamely took up the challenge of the Table topics:-
(1) Paddington Bear Derbe pleaded for her life from Count Dracula
(2) Jungle Man Andrew told us a story about 1 dark lonely night...
(3) Photographer Gerald said he wished for the super-power of the gab
(4) Shan Wong wanted to be Superman because he gets to fly around every day
(5)Scarecrow Siew Yan described how the car broke down 1 daaaaaaark night
